Jason Riggs, Director of Strategy bei Technetics, sprach mit Tyler Kern \u00fcber einige der Pl\u00e4ne der Luftfahrtindustrie, bis 2050 durch nachhaltige Flugkraftstoffe (SAF), Wasserstoff und rein batterieelektrische Flugzeuge null Emissionen zu erreichen.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dcber Wasserstoff als Treibstoffquelle wird viel geredet, aber bis vor Kurzem war es meist nur Gerede. \"Es gibt verschiedene M\u00f6glichkeiten, Wasserstoff f\u00fcr den Antrieb eines Flugzeugs zu verwenden\", sagte Riggs. \"Eine w\u00e4re die Verbrennung von Wasserstoff im Turbotriebwerk. Die zweite M\u00f6glichkeit w\u00e4re die Verwendung von Wasserstoff in einer Brennstoffzelle. Die Brennstoffzelle erzeugt Strom, der dann die Elektromotoren antreibt. Und schlie\u00dflich kann Wasserstoff auch zur Herstellung nachhaltiger Flugkraftstoffe verwendet werden.\" Das h\u00f6rt sich alles toll an, aber wo ist der Haken an der Sache?<\/p>\n<p>\"Die Herausforderung besteht darin, dass die Energiedichte um etwa ein Drittel bis zwei Drittel abnimmt, wenn man das Gewicht der Speichertanks und das gesamte Gewicht, das zur Aufnahme des Wasserstoffs erforderlich ist, hinzurechnet\", so Riggs. \"Es ist keine perfekte L\u00f6sung, auch wenn Wasserstoff an sich eine h\u00f6here Energiedichte hat als einige der konkurrierenden Technologien. Die Technologie ist vorhanden, um wasserstoffbetriebene Flugzeuge Realit\u00e4t werden zu lassen, aber ihre Nachteile verhindern derzeit, dass sie eine skalierbare L\u00f6sung darstellt. Insgesamt ist es jedoch eine vielversprechende L\u00f6sung f\u00fcr die Zukunft.<\/p>\n<p>Bei der Erreichung von Null-Emissionen geht es nicht nur um die Emissionen aus dem Flugzeug, sondern auch um die Herstellung umweltfreundlicher Kraftstoffe, und die Industrie sucht nach M\u00f6glichkeiten, beide Seiten auszugleichen. Die Herstellung von Wasserstoffkraftstoffen ist heute teurer als die Herstellung herk\u00f6mmlicher Kerosin-Kraftstoffe. Die Senkung der Kosten wird ein weiterer Faktor sein, der die Branche auf ihrem Weg zu umweltfreundlichen Kraftstoffen voranbringt, und staatliche Anreize k\u00f6nnten dazu beitragen.
