Ce qui avait commenc\u00e9 comme une tendance \u00e0 la baisse et que les experts pensaient voir s'aplanir s'est termin\u00e9 par une courbe de croissance de 25% en 2021 et devrait atteindre ~10% en 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Qu'est-ce que cela signifie pour l'industrie ? Va-t-il un jour ralentir ? En raison de la demande de puces \u00e0 semi-conducteurs - int\u00e9gr\u00e9es \u00e0 nos t\u00e9l\u00e9phones, PC, syst\u00e8mes de jeux et m\u00eame v\u00e9hicules - le march\u00e9 a consid\u00e9rablement augment\u00e9.<br \/>\nKelvin Standifer, Angus McFadden et Paul Cuddyer de Technetics Semi se r\u00e9unissent pour examiner l'\u00e9tat actuel du march\u00e9 et les changements auxquels nous pouvons nous attendre au cours de l'ann\u00e9e prochaine et au-del\u00e0.<br \/>\nLe march\u00e9 des puces \u00e0 semi-conducteurs conna\u00eet une demande spectaculaire due, en grande partie, au nombre de personnes travaillant \u00e0 distance. Ce changement dans la fa\u00e7on dont les gens travaillent exige une plus grande largeur de bande, et il y a une \u00e9norme ru\u00e9e pour le faire maintenant. Selon M. McFadden, \"plus il y a d'appareils, plus il y a de donn\u00e9es\". Il appelle \u00e9galement cela la \"nouvelle r\u00e9volution industrielle de l'\u00e9lectronique\".<\/p>\n<p>Actuellement, ce cycle ascendant semble se poursuivre, et l'industrie automobile est en train de modifier sensiblement sa fa\u00e7on de faire. Daimler, Volkswagen et m\u00eame General Motors sont tous confront\u00e9s aux retomb\u00e9es de la d\u00e9cision de l'entreprise de 2020 de r\u00e9duire le nombre de puces achet\u00e9es. Exigeant 6% du march\u00e9 des semi-conducteurs et en pleine croissance, certains constructeurs automobiles prennent d\u00e9sormais l'initiative de produire leurs puces.<br \/>\nL'industrie conna\u00eet des changements significatifs en mati\u00e8re d'infrastructures, avec l'annonce par Intel d'un investissement de $20 milliard dans une usine en Arizona et d'un autre dans l'Ohio pour $20 milliard. Cette expansion ouvre la voie \u00e0 un besoin accru d'ing\u00e9nieurs et d'employ\u00e9s de fabrication qualifi\u00e9s. Les pressions g\u00e9opolitiques continues en provenance de l'Est contribuent \u00e9galement \u00e0 ce besoin de construire.<\/p>\n<p>Les probl\u00e8mes de cha\u00eene d'approvisionnement sur le march\u00e9 de la construction entravent les plans de d\u00e9veloppement de l'industrie des semi-conducteurs. Ce que M. McFadden appelle le processus \"de la boue au silicium\" devient plus difficile \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser en raison du resserrement de la cha\u00eene d'approvisionnement du secteur de la construction.<\/p>\n<p>Standifer et McFadden s'accordent \u00e0 dire que les fabs ne seront pas capables de cr\u00e9er une surcapacit\u00e9 de semi-conducteurs en raison des d\u00e9fis actuels. M. McFadden \u00e9voque \u00e9galement les centres de donn\u00e9es, le m\u00e9tavers, l'informatique en nuage, l'intelligence artificielle et l'intelligence artificielle, qui consomment d'\u00e9normes quantit\u00e9s de bande passante et qui, \u00e0 l'heure actuelle, ne semblent pas devoir ralentir au cours des dix prochaines ann\u00e9es.<br \/>\nC'est un secteur qui semble poursuivre sa tendance \u00e0 la hausse. Il y a environ cinq ans, il repr\u00e9sentait pr\u00e8s de $400 milliards d'euros, et depuis, il a connu une croissance de 50% pour atteindre le chiffre stup\u00e9fiant de $600 milliards.
