About Technetics Group PTFE Molded Shapes

By using PTFE compression molding or PTFE isostatic molding, we can produce high-quality molded shapes to your specifications.

  • PTFE compression molding. With compression molding, also referred to as auto molding, pressure is applied in one direction. Using PTFE compression molding, we can create a wide variety of shapes and geometries to close tolerances using part ejection, pressure application and automatic cavity fill techniques. This process is not only highly cost-effective, but also eliminates stress cracks and related defects sometimes caused by traditional machining. 
  • PTFE isostatic molding. With this technique, we apply pressure to all sides of the molded part (unlike compression molding, which applies pressure in only one direction) to create highly consistent material properties in nearly any shape or size. Isostatic molding is particularly ideal for forming unusual shapes such as cups, buckets, tapered sleeves and closed-end cylinders.
